Gay Bangkok HQ: Boy Plaza
The English word “boy” generally means “gay” as it applies to nightlife in Bangkok, and gay travelers will find a plethora of clubs and show bars on Boy Plaza, a small street of gay establishments located between Surawong Road to the south, and Rama IV road to the north. All taxis know the way, but you can also take the BTS Skytrain to the Sala Daeng station, walk north on Soi Thaniya for one long block to Surawong, cross Surawong, turn left, and Boy Plaza will be on your immediate right.

We recommend that you see at least one “Boy Show” while you’re here.
“Kids, don’t try this at home” was the thought we immediately had in mind after seeing the final act of the show at “The Boys Bangkok,” a review held at the “A Go Go Boys” bar on the plaza. While the early part of the show is heavily based on comedy, dancing, and costumes, the final act is one of sexual gymnastics that borders on the incredulous. The act is risqué, unforgettable, probably illegal, and we wonder how the performers manage the act of sitting the next day. The show is highly recommended, not for those easily offended, and goes on twice nightly at 10:15 pm and midnight. Tickets are 500 baht each, and include your first drink. Straights and ladies are welcomed.
The entrance to the club is located at GPS Coordinates: N13° 43.853’, E100° 31.935’
Dream Boy, right next door to “The Boys Bangkok,” also has nightly shows, at 10:30 pm and 12:15 am.
